The Malpais–Sint Michiel Living Lab operates under a multi-stakeholder governance structure ensuring transparency, coordination, and adaptive management. Roles are distributed across four actor groups:
Partner Profiles
- Community actors — Stewardship, livelihoods, cultural transmission, and monitoring.
- COIA — Conservation, regenerative economy development, education and training, enterprise facilitation.
- Stichting NAAM — Cultural heritage governance, memory work, documentation, and interpretation.
- Government agencies — Policy alignment, regulation, infrastructure investment, and oversight.
- Research partners — Scientific leadership, monitoring, evaluation, and innovation.
